Visiting the Barber Shop Before the Big Day

Recreation of J. N. Hooper's Barber Shop (Seat...

Traditionally, the bachelor and his groomsmen would (similar to the bride and her maids) get ready for a wedding together.  The men would visit the local barber shop, and the bride and her brigade would visit the beauty salon.  A few years ago, it was downright hard for men to find a great local barber shop for them to be taken care of and relax.  Thankfully, men are beginning to demand a place of their own again, where they can get a haircut, a clean shave, and maybe a shoe shine as well.

Grooms, after you hit the golf course or shooting range for a little pre-wedding fun with your groomsmen, visit your barber shop before meeting your bride at the end of the aisle.  It’s a great opportunity for some guys to get their first, real straight razor shave, clean up their haircut, and hangout before the momentous occasion.

If you make an appointment for you and your groomsmen at Dave’s Barber in Woodstock, Georgia, you can also swing around the corner for some celebratory cigars from Mr. G’s Cigar and Tobacco Shoppe.  Contact us at Dave’s Barber to make an appointment or learn more about how we can help get your ready for one of the best days of your life.
