Hi everyone! This week, we decided to bring in a woman’s perspective to the importance of being well-groomed. Ashley is a friend of the barber shop and decided to help us out. Check out her post below!
Hi Ladies and Gents, my name is Ashley and I’ll be writing today on the importance of being well-groomed. I think many women will agree that there are few things more powerful and attractive than a well-groomed, confident man. Many times, we are unsure of how to go about telling the lucky men in their lives that they need a little “sprucing.” My suggestion? Surprise your guy with a gift certificate from Dave’s Barber for a straight razor shave and a haircut. Your rash-free face will thank you as you go in foryour next kiss, I guarantee it.
Why a straight razor shave?
Thinking about that prickly, rough razor stubble that feels like sand paper against your skin. What’s more, the red razor bumps that peek through afterwards? I bet you’re thinking, “say no more, but how can I get him to agree to go see Dave?,” explain that a straight razor shave can only be done by a licensed barber in the state of Georgia. Additionally, men have enjoyed straight razor shaves for thousands of years.
But I like beards!
Men with beards can maintain a well-groomed look as well. What won’t cut it, however, are the spotty patches of uneven hair that he swears he’s growing into a goatee. As the guys at Dave’s Barber know and understand, the trick to having facial hair is to keep all surrounding areas of the beard trimmed and clean. It’s all about maintaining a professional look. Dave’s will trim the beard and straight razor the neck.
Why can’t he just go to a chain place for his haircut?
Most chain haircut places specialize in women’s haircuts. A place like Dave’s Barber specializes in men’s haircuts, and barbers are trained to work with clippers and shears. You wouldn’t go to just any old place to get your highlights, would you? The same kind of care needs to be taken with your beau’s haircut.
